Leonard Cohen’s lyrics are deep emotional and at times extremely sensual
and appeal to all with a desire for meaningful music and song.
Encouraged to
take on a musical ‘career’ in the sixties by among others Julie Felix we
have been grateful ever since.
Songs such as ‘So Long
Marianne’ ‘Bird On A Wire’ and ‘Suzanne’ are now ingrained into
musical legend.
LC is able to
touch and write on a spiritual and emotional level without seeming
trite.
‘Hallelujah’
and ‘If It Be Your Will’ are
among two of the most wonderful lyrics written in the last 10 yrs.
With a voice of raw silk and a delivery that could quell a
tempest Leonard Cohen is a unique one off ‘Prophet of the Heart’ whom
your musical intellect can’t ignore.
